Nountransportation (uncountable)
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Transport or transportation is the movement of people and goods from one location to another. Modes of transport include air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline, and space. The field can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles, and operations. Transport infrastructure consists of the fixed installations necessary for transport, and may be roads, railways, airways, waterways, canals and pipelines, and terminals such as airports, railway stations, bus stations, warehouses, trucking terminals, refueling depots (including fueling docks and fuel stations), and seaports. Terminals may be used both for interchange of passengers and cargo and for maintenance. Vehicles traveling on these networks may include automobiles, bicycles, buses, trains, trucks, people, helicopters, and aircraft. Operations deal with the way the vehicles are operated, and the procedures set for this purpose including financing, legalities and policies. In the transport industry, operations and ownership of infrastructure can be either public or private, depending on the country and mode. Passenger transport may be public, where operators provide scheduled services, or private. Freight transport has become focused on containerization, although bulk transport is used for large volumes of durable items. Transport plays an important part in economic growth and globalization, but most types cause air pollution and use large amounts of land. While it is heavily subsidized by governments, good planning of transport is essential to make traffic flow, and restrain urban sprawl. From Wikipedia under the

I am staying at Casey Lodge, I would like to know the quickest and safest way/transportation to get to Camp Case? How much would it cost? And what transportation is cost efficient? Asked by army girl - Sat Jul 11 19:10:23 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. That depends on what time of day that you arrive. If you arrive during the day and not too late in the evening, you may be able to take the USO bus to Yongsan and then switch to the Camp Casey bus there. The USO bus is free and the Myungjin Bus to Casey is about $4.00. This is the cheapest, but will take you about 2 hours...depending on traffic...to get to Camp Casey. Problem is, I think you need to produce a military ID or dependent ID to use those buses. However, is is the schedule for them: Probably the best way in your case is to take a limousine bus from the airport to Uijeongbu (airport bus stops 2A & 8B, runs once/hour, 12,000 won)- the last stop is Uijeongbu Terminal. From there, take a bus to Dongducheon (maybe another 2,00 [cont.] Answered by Archangel - Sun Jul 12 01:03:35 2009 How good is public transportation in Chicago? Q. I've never been there, but I was wondering how good the public transportation system in the city is? Could a person commute, say 10 miles, to work every day and rely on public transportation without encountering too many headaches? Asked by RogerDodger - Mon May 19 17:30:51 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. Depends where. If you're working and living in the city itself, particularly in and around downtown, absolutely. It'd be far more convenient than a car. But as soon as you get out to the outskirts of Chicago, it gets a bit harder. The Metra trains are good, and reliable, but they only run on the hour (if that) and they're only good if they happen to go near where you happen to go. For example, I used to work and live in the city and I took the elevated trains back and forth, and it was easy (even relaxing, because I could read on the way). But after a while I was living in the city and working in the far suburbs, and it was, unfortunately, faster to drive. Q. If I was to commute to Cypress College from Buena Park using bus transportation, which ones would have that type of schedule and at what time(s) would that bus leave? Asked by Pierre S - Tue Jul 1 10:11:07 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. The only bus system in the area is OCTA. Go to www.octa.net and check the Trip Finder. Just enter your starting address and Cypress College as your destination. Then enter the time you wish to arrive. Two lines serve Cypress College...the 42, which goes along Lincoln, and the 21, which goes up and down Valley View (however, only once an hour and not on weekends or holidays). The 42 runs every 15 minutes for most of the day. You didn't say where in BP you are coming from.
